Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Adaptations Surveyor to join Haringey's Adult Social Services Surveying Team. In this key role, you will deliver a highly responsive and professional adaptations service for residents with disabilities, ensuring all works are completed to a high standard, within agreed timescales and budgets, with the customer at the heart of everything you do.

Job Responsibility:

  • Survey properties requiring adaptation, assess suitability and feasibility and identify any building defects that may impact proposed works
  • Work closely with Occupational Therapists and other professionals, produce detailed specifications and AutoCAD drawings for tender, manage contractors on site, monitor performance against KPIs, and oversee projects through to satisfactory completion

Requirements:

  • A qualification in building construction or surveying (HNC/HND or equivalent)
  • Proven experience delivering disabled adaptations or similar building projects
  • Strong knowledge of building construction, Building Regulations, Health & Safety and asbestos awareness
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience producing specifications and tender documentation
  • The ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and monitor contractor performance
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information clearly and accessibly
