Job Description:

Part-Time - Acute Care Nurse Practitioner - Gastroenterology (GI) - TMC. Tucson Medical Center is currently recruiting for an acute care nurse practitioner with a background in gastroenterology preferred. A qualified candidate will have their ACNP certification. This will be an inpatient role, working with our GI Hospitalists as well as our experienced GI team of ACNPs, nurses, and technicians. Schedule will be Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. We prefer for those to be 10-hour days (30 hours per week), but for the right candidate we may consider 8-hour days (24 hours per week).

Job Responsibility:

Inpatient role, working with our GI Hospitalists as well as our experienced GI team of ACNPs, nurses, and technicians

Requirements:

  • ACNP certification (acute care) is required for this role
  • 1 year of acute care experience preferred but not required
  • National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or must be National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner eligible
  • must become credentialed at TMC through the Professional Staffing Office prior to appointment
  • must have and maintain a current Arizona state license as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner including prescriptive authority
  • must obtain and maintain a current Federal Drug Enforcement Agency License for prescribing controlled substances
  • must obtain and maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • for Mental Health only Crisis Prevention Instruction (CPI) required
