Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in production management within a design/build manufacturing environment
At least 4+ years in a management role
Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Expertise in Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
Profound understanding of build to order / configure to order and final assembly of complex products
Deep familiarity with ISO 9001, UL 508A / UL 891 / UL 1008, NEMA, and NEC compliance standards
Proficiency in project management software, ERP systems (e.g., Acumatica, SAP, Oracle, etc.), Smartsheets, and Google's software suite
Ability to pass a background check and drug/alcohol test

Job Responsibility

Direct all aspects of production, from metal processing and fabrication to paint and electrical work
Establish and implement production plans tuned to project specifications and organizational goals
Champion Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement
Partner with executive leadership to develop and enforce company-wide standard operating procedures
Lead collaborations with Project Managers, Scheduling, Sales, and Engineering teams
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to department managers and team members
Conduct performance evaluations and support professional development
Manage space utilization within the manufacturing facility
Optimize production capabilities for custom projects
Evaluate machine resources to minimize downtime and enhance production capacity

Job Responsibility

Item Master Support & BOM Management: Serve as the primary custodian of the company's Item Master database, managing the creation, revision, and deprecation of all part numbers and raw materials
Maintain the Bill of Materials (BOM) for all engineered designs, working directly with the engineering team to translate designs into a structured BOM format for the MRP system
Engineering Change Control (ECOs): Process and implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) in a timely and controlled manner, ensuring all related documents and systems are updated accurately to reflect the changes
Technical Document Control: Manage a centralized system for all technical documents, including engineering drawings, diagrams, O&M manuals, and SOPs
Ensure all documents are correctly versioned, indexed, and easily accessible to authorized personnel
Document Distribution & Approval: Issue and distribute all official engineering documents to internal departments and external partners
Coordinate the review and approval process for all new or revised technical documents, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry regulations
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a critical liaison between the Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, and Quality departments to ensure seamless communication and data flow
Relay feedback from external departments back to Engineering to facilitate design and MRP improvements
Auditing and Reporting: Regularly audit the Item Master and BOM databases to identify and correct discrepancies proactively
