Job Description

An organization undergoing an Acumatica ERP implementation is seeking a Data Warehousing Specialist to support master data transformation, mapping, and validation activities during the transition from a legacy system to Acumatica. The legacy platform utilizes text‑based item descriptors rather than structured item numbers, creating a complex data normalization requirement. This role will serve as the dedicated resource to manage and execute these data tasks, working closely with the implementation partner and internal stakeholders.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the conversion of legacy master data from descriptor‑based formats to structured item numbers required by Acumatica
  • Develop, document, and execute data mapping, transformation, and validation rules to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to understand existing descriptors, item definitions, and business logic
  • Coordinate with external implementation partners to ensure timely and accurate data processing and troubleshoot roadblocks
  • Maintain an organized inventory of data assets, mapping tables, transformation logic, and reference documentation
  • Perform hands-on data cleansing, normalization, and enrichment to prepare data for Acumatica ingestion
  • Conduct root-cause analysis on data inaccuracies and develop scalable correction and prevention methods
  • Support data testing cycles, including mock conversions, validation scripts, and exception reporting
  • Provide ongoing oversight of data structure alignment with ERP design, workflows, and reporting needs
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all data-related tasks within the ERP project

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in ERP data management, data warehousing, or master data governance (Acumatica experience preferred)
  • Strong understanding of data mapping, ETL processes, normalization techniques, and master data structures
  • Proficiency with Excel, SQL, or similar tools used for data transformation
  • Experience working with implementation partners and cross-functional technical teams
  • Ability to interpret unstructured data, create standardized item hierarchies, and convert descriptors to item numbers
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively under time constraints

Nice to have

  • Experience with Acumatica or other modern cloud-based ERP platforms
  • Background in operations, supply chain, construction, or inventory-heavy environments
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and data quality methodologies
