Job Description

Indiana Farmers Insurance is currently looking for an Actuary I to join our Finance and Actuarial Team. As a key member of our Finance & Actuarial Team, you won't just be running models—you'll be shaping our business strategy. You will have the opportunity to enhance our pricing and reserving capabilities, tackle challenging actuarial projects, and see your analysis directly influence company performance to help us achieve our vision.

Job Responsibility

  • Complete pricing studies and rate indications for property and liability lines
  • Analyzing competitor rating algorithms to recommend strategic adjustments
  • Assisting with the evaluation of loss reserves
  • Maintain rate books & specification documents for rate changes for multiple lines of business

Requirements

  • College degree in actuarial science, mathematics or related field
  • Minimum of 2 Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) exams
  • 1+ years of relevant work experience in an actuarial role
  • High level of organizational and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
