Job Description

Join a major Insurance Group as Actuarial Financial Risk Expert and become a Thought Leader in your field. In this cross-functional and strategic role, you will lead the delivery of the ORSA and Recovery and Resolutions plans while collaborating with the wider Risk function to ensure effective risk management of commercial opportunities.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the delivery of the ORSA and Recovery and Resolutions plans
  • Collaborate with the wider Risk function to ensure effective risk management of commercial opportunities
  • Maintain the Group’s Risk Appetite, Stress and Scenario Testing and other key Line 2 owned frameworks
  • Support the wider function by helping design and maintain effective and efficient risk oversight activities for Line 2 that is proportionate and risk-based

Requirements

  • Qualified life actuary
  • Detailed knowledge of a range of core aspects of financial risk
  • In-depth understanding of life insurance products (in particular BPA and annuities)
  • Knowledge of regulatory and reporting frameworks (Solvency UK, IFRS 17, UK GAAP)
  • Understanding of the principles of business planning, balance sheet management and optimisation
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
