Job Description:

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Actuarial Director, Participating Fund Management and Special Projects. The role involves leading par fund-related matters, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering customer fairness, collaborating with stakeholders, and managing a team.

Job Responsibility:

Lead and oversee par fund-related matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and fair customer outcomes
Develop and implement strategies to enhance transparency, governance, and performance of participating funds
Monitor and assess risks related to par funds, ensuring alignment with TCF principles
Serve as the Secretary for the Participating Business Committee, ensuring effective governance, documentation, and follow-up on key decisions
Prepare high-quality board papers, reports, and presentations for senior management and committees
Provide expert insights on par fund policies, performance, and regulatory developments
Manage and mentor a small team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on par fund strategies
Ensure adherence to GL34 and other current or future Par fund management regulations where applicable
Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in par fund management

Requirements:

Proven experience in participating fund management in life insurance companies
Strong writing and communication skills, with a track record of drafting board papers, executive reports, and committee minutes
Leadership experience, including managing small teams and collaborating with other sub-teams and cross-functional stakeholders
Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and present complex information clearly
