The Standard seeks a talented actuary to join the Individual Annuities team. This role is responsible for the planning and projections. As a partner to senior actuaries, financial professionals, and executives, the successful individual must have the ability to understand the big picture and present results to senior leaders relating to the models, evaluating trends, and the confidence to question results.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and maintain planning models and tools
Collaborate with pricing, valuation, finance, sales, and other functional areas to develop annual business plan and other projection analysis
Extract, analyze and prepare data for use in actuarial analysis
Analyze, interpret, and present numerical data related to pricing and other actuarial analysis
Communicate and collaborate with various departments across the organization to meet business needs
Use data and analysis to provide strategic guidance in influencing management decision making
Anticipate customer needs and take initiative to address business challenges
Determine appropriate methods and procedures for new assignments and seek guidance when needed
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, actuarial science, business, or a related field
ASA Certification (required)
Minimum 5 years of hands-on actuarial experience
Individual Annuity or other annuity products experience highly preferred
Proficient in MS Office and familiarity with actuarial tools and systems
US Statutory and US GAAP experience preferred
PowerBI, Python, SQL, and GGY AXIS experience preferred
Nice to have:
