Job Description:

Entry-level position in the actuarial team, providing mathematical and technical support used in developing various insurance products, preparing valuation reports, and financial statements. Includes communication with cross-functional areas and utilization of artificial intelligence tools.

Job Responsibility:

Provide support of a mathematical/technical nature which is used in developing various insurance products, producing experience and valuation reports, and preparing financial statements
support completion of projects for actuarial functions including product development and pricing analyses, product management tools and studies, business and related forecasts, valuation, financial reporting and analyses
prepare financial reports, memorandums, and other required actuarial supporting analyses including new product filings and rollouts, product management actions, requests from external auditors, state regulators, and rating agencies
communicate actuarial results to cross-functional areas including business unit and other support unit personnel, other actuaries
documentation of the actuarial analysis performed
utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g., generative AI)

Requirements:

0-1 years experience required
prior internships
experience with SQL, C++, Excel, VBA, or related programs/programming languages
four-year degree required in Actuarial science, math, physics, economics, engineering, or related field
passed 1-2 SOA Exams
