The Actuarial Analyst III supports Medicare Advantage pricing and bid development within the Medicare Actuarial team.
Job Responsibility:
Manage assigned pricing models and benefits, ensuring data accuracy, methodology consistency, and timely bid filing readiness
Review vendor and benefit contracts, translating terms into accurate pricing assumptions and model inputs
Validate data sources, troubleshoot discrepancies, and resolve issues quickly to maintain model integrity
Conduct experience studies to support pricing decisions and assumption development
Assist with CMS bid desk reviews and audits by preparing documentation and explanations of pricing methodologies
Lead special projects, develop process improvements, and provide guidance and training to junior analysts.
Requirements:
Requires a BA/BS and to have passed a minimum of four Society of Actuaries (SOA) actuarial exams and a minimum of 3 years related experience
or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Nice to have:
Intermediate Excel experience preferred
Intermediate SQL query experience preferred
Strong organization and project management experience preferred.
