Job Description

Evermore Care is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Lifestyle Coordinator / Activity Coordinator to join our state-of-the-art care home in Lancaster, Ashton Manor. This is a fantastic opportunity available on both full-time and part-time contracts, where you’ll plan, design, and lead a variety of engaging social and recreational activities that enrich the lives of our elderly residents.

Job Responsibility

  • Plan and deliver engaging activities, such as musical sessions, exercise classes, community outings, and themed events
  • Collaborate with local performers and organisations to arrange enriching experiences for residents
  • Maintain accurate records, update care plans, and manage schedules effectively
  • Inspire friendships, creativity, and culture tailored to the diverse interests of residents.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a care or dementia environment
  • Strong communication, organisational, and time-management skills
  • A creative and proactive approach with a passion for making a positive difference.

  • Keeping the nursing staff up to date on Resident’s condition
  • Assisting with the orientation of new Residents to then Nursing Home environment
  • Attending in-service training and education programmes as may be required
  • Perform escort duties as required, which may from time to time involve duty beyond rostered hours
  • Work in any area of the Care Centre as may be required
