The role of the Activity Coordinator is to support adults with learning disabilities and/or mental health disorders through developing, planning and implementing an activity programme for our residents, including social activities, outings and holidays, all according to their care plan and preferences.
Job Responsibility:
Plan, organise and coordinate an activities programme for each resident individually and in groups, according to their needs, interests and abilities
Manage the activities budget allocated for the month
Ensure equality of opportunities for all residents
Assist the Positive Behaviour Support team with assessing residents' skills and abilities so that tailored activities can be planned
Actively participate in scheduled activities
Occasionally provide physical care and support to our residents in accordance with their care plan, respecting their dignity and preferences
To safeguard and promote the welfare of the people we support
Requirements:
Being creative, patient, reliable, flexible, a team player, and a good communicator
The ability to manage your own time, tasks and workload
