Job Description:

The role of the Activity Coordinator is to support adults with learning disabilities and/or mental health disorders through developing, planning and implementing an activity programme for our residents, including social activities, outings and holidays, all according to their care plan and preferences.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan, organise and coordinate an activities programme for each resident individually and in groups, according to their needs, interests and abilities
  • Manage the activities budget allocated for the month
  • Ensure equality of opportunities for all residents
  • Assist the Positive Behaviour Support team with assessing residents' skills and abilities so that tailored activities can be planned
  • Actively participate in scheduled activities
  • Occasionally provide physical care and support to our residents in accordance with their care plan, respecting their dignity and preferences
  • To safeguard and promote the welfare of the people we support

Requirements:

  • Being creative, patient, reliable, flexible, a team player, and a good communicator
