Job Description:

Activities Coordinator role at Three Bridges Nursing Home. Activities play a vital part in maintaining the physical and mental well-being of the people living within the home. Working alongside the individuals, their families and home staff to create daily activities.

Job Responsibility:

Plan & gain approval for a programme of varied group and/or individual events
Publicise & communicate the programme
Run all events on the programme giving regard to patient safety, comfort & enjoyment
Accompany people on outings, ensuring adequate provision of care staff & that all safety standards are met
Keep records of all finances associated with the programme
Assist in fund raising activities
Manage supply of all equipment
Organise regular visits from Ministers of religious denominations
Assist with transport for individuals who wish to attend religious services
Create daily activities that are engaging, fun, meaningful and memory evoking
Coordinate external performers
Build relationships with individuals and organisations to deliver a wide range of activities
Support the homes to maintain their social media platforms, capturing moments to share with families and promote the home within the local community

Requirements:

Outgoing personality
Love to stand up in front of a crowd
Imaginative
Ability to plan and gain approval for activity programmes
Ability to run events with regard to patient safety, comfort & enjoyment
Ability to accompany people on outings ensuring safety standards are met
Ability to keep financial records and manage budgets
Ability to organise visits from Ministers and assist with transport for religious services
