We currently have an opening for a full time Activity Assistant working every other weekend. The successful qualified candidates will be part of an incredible team that helps to ensure that each of our residents is given the best quality of care and wonderful stay that they expect and deserve.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide individual and group activities according to the individualized resident treatment plan
  • Provide some transportation to/from activities or res. appointments
  • Complete accurate documentation
  • Deliver the highest quality of care possible to each resident, serving with kindness and compassion

Requirements

  • High school or equivalent
  • Professional enthusiastic attitude
  • Strong communication skills
  • Self motivated
  • Shows initiative in daily work

  • Assist with community outings, including resident supervision, safety, and engagement
  • Support themed meals, holidays, and special events through activity preparation and environmental setup
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of cognitive ramps, resident job boards, and name badges
  • Observe resident interests and report changes or opportunities for engagement to the Coordinator
  • Encourage peers to embrace Montessori-inspired practices
  • Maintain supplies for activities and assist with inventory management
