As an Activities Assistant, you will be instrumental in bringing joy and engagement to our residents' lives by supporting and facilitating enriching activities. Every day, you will assist with the preparation, implementation, and cleanup of various daily activities, directly interacting with residents to encourage participation and provide support. You will help create a welcoming and fun environment for all.
Job Responsibility:
Assist with the preparation, implementation, and cleanup of various daily activities
Interact with residents to encourage participation and provide support
Help create a welcoming and fun environment
Plan for activities as scheduled, organizing supplies and equipment
Coordinate transportation of residents to and from activities
Conduct activities utilizing appropriate group leadership skills
Provide one-on-one visits and activities to assigned residents
Observe and document resident attendance, mood, behavior and degree of participation
Update attendance book and visit logs daily
Requirements:
Satisfactory completion of a state approved training course for Activity Professionals or two years of full time experience in an activity department in a health care setting, upon hire
Certified Music Therapist, upon hire or
Recreational Therapist: CA, upon hire or
Occupational Therapist: CA, upon hire
