Job Responsibility:

  • Maintain a balanced resident centered activity program according to Programming Calendar and Wellness Standards
  • Assess, plan, and manage facilitation of activities utilizing team members and volunteers
  • Recruit entertainers and schedule special events
  • Prepare and review activity calendar and newsletter with Executive Director
  • Coordinate with other department coordinators to ensure availability of equipment and supplies
  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate mixed group activities including reminiscence neighborhood
  • Conduct scheduled activities in reminiscence neighborhood and maintain presence
  • Support development of reminiscence calendar and coordinate programs
  • Update resident Individualized Service Plans
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws
  • Maintain public relations program for activities and community operations
  • Delegate care of animals and plants related to activities
  • Network with local community for volunteer base
  • Manage volunteer orientation, training, and recognition programs
  • Involve families, residents, and volunteers in activities
  • Train team members on using talents and living values
  • Manage Smile app and programming KPI dashboard
  • Review resident daily logs and assess social needs
  • Develop individualized activity programs
  • Schedule and record Resident Counsel Meetings
  • Complete Memory Boxes for new residents
  • Assist in community budget preparation and management
  • Review financial statements and address deficiencies
  • Process and submit expenses per policies
  • Coordinate staff economies and cross training
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance and regulatory requirements
  • Develop corrective action plans for deficiencies
  • Promote risk management and occupational safety
  • Manage recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, and discipline of team
  • Participate in training programs and ensure compliance
  • Lead team member engagement and improvement sessions
  • Ensure accurate timekeeping and payroll
  • Conduct performance appraisals
  • Attend regular meetings and professional development
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed

Requirements:

  • Education or experience in healthcare, social services, or related field preferred
  • Proven leadership and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and delegate effectively
  • Commitment to compliance with regulatory standards
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends
  • Valid driver’s license and compliance with driving policies
  • One year experience preferred in assisted living, long term care, or senior population exposure
  • Ability to lead and motivate volunteers and team members
  • One year supervisory and management experience including recruitment, coordination, training, coaching, and department operations
  • Current applicable driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Sunrise applications
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours
  • Completion of Driver Training if driving Sunrise vehicles
