Solaris HealthCare Daytona is now hiring. We are looking for caring and compassionate individuals to provide outstanding care to our residents each and every day. This is a part time weekend position from 1 pm to 6pm. Please note that for this position you MUST be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Solaris HealthCare is seeking an Activities CNA to join our team!

Job Responsibility

  • Activity Planning: Develop and implement a diverse range of activities and programs tailored to the interests and abilities of residents
  • Individualized Care: Assess the interests, preferences, and cognitive abilities of residents to customize activity plans and ensure participation and enjoyment for all residents
  • Group Facilitation: Lead group activities and events, encouraging resident participation and fostering a sense of community
  • One-on-One Engagement: Provide one-on-one interaction and engagement with residents who may require individualized attention or assistance with activities
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of resident participation in activities, as well as observations of resident engagement, behavior, and mood
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team
  • Safety and Supervision: Ensure the safety and well-being of residents during activities
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff
  • Resource Management: Maintain inventory of activity supplies and equipment

Requirements

  • Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Florida required
  • Previous experience working with elderly individuals, preferably in a long-term care or assisted living setting, is preferred but not required
  • Genuine compassion for the elderly and a desire to enhance their quality of life through meaningful activities and interactions
  • Creative and innovative approach to activity planning, with the ability to develop engaging programs that cater to a diverse range of interests and abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the overall well-being and care of residents
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the needs and preferences of residents
