We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full Time Acting Senior to join our team at The Old Rectory. The home has been specially designed to cater to the every need of 42 residents, living with a range of age-related conditions, physical disabilities, learning disabilities and mental health conditions, and as such require dignified support from our caring team. Additionally, some of our residents live with Dementia. This role involves leading, managing, and supporting the care team to ensure the highest standards of care and service are consistently delivered to all residents. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive environment while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life for our residents.
Job Responsibility:
Lead, manage, and support the care team to ensure high-quality care and service is always provided
Ensure care plans are regularly reviewed through continuous assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of residents’ care
Engage with residents in conversation at a level and pace that values the individual and respects their dignity and communication differences
Administer and accurately record medication as prescribed, ensuring proper monitoring of drug doses for residents
Ensure that each resident’s dignity and independence are always preserved and promoted
Encourage residents to achieve the highest possible quality of life that is right for them
Support and encourage residents to participate in discussions relating to their daily living arrangements
Assist residents with personal care where necessary, ensuring comfort, dignity, and respect at all times
Requirements:
Experience working within a care home or healthcare setting
Strong leadership and communication skills
A compassionate and resident-focused approach to care
Knowledge of medication administration and care planning
Ability to support and motivate a care team
