Job Description:

Acting Senior Care Assistants play an important role in our residents’ day-to-day lives. We see you as an extension of our residents’ families – treating them with the same kindness and compassion you would your own loved ones. You’ll ensure the highest levels of care are maintained, supporting residents with all aspects of daily living, while promoting dignity, independence, and happiness.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide compassionate, person-centred care in line with residents’ care plans
  • Supervise and support care staff to deliver excellent standards of care
  • Administer medication safely and accurately
  • Monitor residents’ wellbeing and report any changes promptly
  • Maintain accurate care records and uphold confidentiality
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals and families
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and infection control standards

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a senior care role (care home experience preferred)
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care
  • Confident in leading a team and administering medication
  • Compassionate, reliable, and professional

  • Participate in the development of activities and daycare programmes for residents in which they can join and which will enhance their quality of life
  • Help to ensure that the preparation, cooking and serving of food meet the required standards in respect of nutrition, environmental health etc.
  • Assist with ensuring that bedrooms and communal areas are properly cleaned and maintained and adequately heated in accordance with the requirements
  • Ensure that you maintain the Environmental Cleaning Schedule and checklist found in the Infection Control and Cleaning File
