Job Description

We’re looking for an Acting Senior Care Assistant to join our friendly team at Douglas Court Care Home in Ivy Square, Derby,. This full-time, permanent role with a pay rate of £13.3 per hour. Part of the family-run Adept Care Homes, Douglas Court Care Home is a purpose-built, 43-bed residential dementia care home providing high-quality residential and dementia care in a supportive, welcoming environment. If you’re passionate about delivering outstanding care, we’d love you to join us.

Job Responsibility

  • providing high-quality, person-centred care
  • stepping up to take on senior responsibilities such as administering medication, supporting and supervising care staff, keeping accurate records, and working closely with healthcare professionals
  • ensuring residents receive respectful, personalised care that promotes their dignity and wellbeing

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 2 in Care (essential)
  • Previous care experience (essential)
  • Good literacy, numeracy and communication skills
  • NVQ Level 3 in Care (desirable)
  • Previous Senior Care experience (desirable)

Nice to have

  • NVQ Level 3 in Care
  • Previous Senior Care experience
