Join us as an ACPR Developer at Barclays, responsible for supporting the successful delivery of Location Strategy projects to plan, budget, agreed quality and governance standards. Job Responsibility:

  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

Requirements:

  • Masters or Bachelors Degree (preferably in Computer Science/Engineering)
  • Experience in application development, Oracle PL/SQL in banking applications/ products (Avaloq knowledge would be an added advantage)
  • Experience in large IT organization working in a support environment, supporting mission critical complex systems utilizing a large number of technologies and heavy reliance on batch processing
  • Oracle PL/SQL / Avaloq script
  • Knowledge of UNIX , Agile Central and SVN
  • Working knowledge on any banking products. Experience with Avaloq or alternatively in other core banking solutions (e.g. Finacle, T24, BaNCS etc.)
  • Software development lifecycle
  • In depth knowledge of and proven track record in financial services industry
  • Excellent overall knowledge of banking application and in depth knowledge of several of the functional modules like security trading, order management, settlement, corporate actions, credit, payments etc.

Nice to have:

  • Leadership experience in Private Banking IT delivery programs
  • Good to have working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Service Now and Agile.

  • Deliver the regulatory engagement strategy in the region
  • Support the Airwallex Group’s expansion by managing the regulatory compliance components of licence authorisation processes
  • Act as a key stakeholder in relation to licence applications, business plan updates and information requests between Airwallex and our regulators
  • Ensure that our regulatory compliance and integrity risk reporting obligations are maintained for all Airwallex Group entities in the region
  • Support and / or manage on-site exams and inspections (in collaboration with our LRC colleagues)
  • Advise the business with respect to regulatory change initiatives with a particular focus on how to effectively manage compliance risk attached to new laws and regulations in the jurisdictions we operate
