Job Description:

Crowe Watson Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for an Accounts Semi Senior on behalf of a leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Southend-on-Sea. With a strong presence in the local market, the firm is known for its commitment to staff development and client service excellence. The successful candidate will work closely with a friendly and experienced team, assisting in the preparation of accounts for a varied portfolio of clients, including limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders. You will gain hands-on exposure to a broad range of work and enjoy plenty of client contact, helping to develop your technical and interpersonal skills in a progressive and professional setting.

Job Responsibility:

Preparation of statutory accounts for a variety of clients
Supporting senior staff with audit and assurance work (where applicable)
Liaising with clients to request records and resolve queries
Assisting with VAT returns and management accounts
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and legislation

Requirements:

Must have a minimum of 1 years previous experience working within a UK Practice environment
AAT qualified or currently studying AAT/ACA/ACCA (study support available)
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Good knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Sage, QuickBooks, Xero)
