The Accounts Receivable Specialist supports the financial operations of the organization by ensuring timely and accurate processing, monitoring, and collection of customer payments. This entry-level role is responsible for maintaining account accuracy, assisting with invoice and credit reviews, researching discrepancies, and supporting customer account resolution. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining positive internal and external relationships.
Job Responsibility:
Provide financial, clerical, and administrative support to ensure accounts receivable functions are completed accurately and on time
Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and identify accounts requiring follow-up or escalation
Support collection efforts by contacting customers and internal managers regarding outstanding balances and payment concerns
Review and audit invoices and credits for accuracy
Research account discrepancies and assists with reporting and resolution
Create and distribute invoices by mail or email as needed
Apply payments accurately and maintain complete account records
Communicate professionally with customers to resolve billing issues and support strong business relationships
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required
0–2 years of accounts receivable, accounting, or related administrative experience preferred
Basic understanding of accounts receivable processes and general accounting principles
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growing environment
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interact professionally with customers and all levels of management
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Must work full-time, on-site at the corporate headquarters office
