Job Description:

This role will be a member of the Atlassian Accounting Team responsible for AR, Revenue, AP, GL, Fixed Assets, Prepaid and Accruals. In this role you will work with various members of the accounting team in addition to working closely with customer advocates, sales operations and support teams.

Job Responsibility:

Manual invoicing
Cash application
Customer refunds
Supporting customer advocates with payment related queries
Handling core accounting responsibilities of Atlassian
Invoice processing
Customer management
Preparing monthly reconciliations
Working closely with customers and partners to ensure all cash receipts are accounted for correctly
Providing clear communication to management related to upcoming payments, disputes and potential write offs
Assisting in maintaining department goals
Evaluating processes and initiating improvements to increase operational efficiency
Being a team-player and taking on other responsibilities that may be assigned

Requirements:

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Have 3 to 5 years experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist
Your organizational skills are superb and you manage time well
Have worked previously with a multinational company, preferably in a public company environment (SOX)
Must have strong system skills (MS Excel)
Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Netsuite, etc.) preferred
Are highly analytical and strategic – emphasis on automation, and constant improvement
