We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Towaco, New Jersey. In this contract role, you will play a crucial part in managing customer accounts, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will excel in working with customer portals and handling complex collections processes.
Job Responsibility:
Monitor and manage accounts receivable for multiple customers, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices
Submit invoices through customer portals, verify their acceptance, and address any rejections or discrepancies
Follow up with customers to facilitate payments and resolve issues related to collections
Ensure deposits and collections are accurately coded and processed according to company procedures
Handle billing functions, including invoicing customers for various project milestones
Collaborate with customers to manage payment schedules and address any disputes or concerns
Prepare aging reports to track overdue accounts and prioritize collection efforts
Maintain accurate financial records by reconciling accounts receivable entries
Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to ensure smooth payment processes
Provide support for general accounts receivable tasks as needed
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or related financial roles
Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes, including billing and collections
Experience with customer portals and electronic invoice submission
Proficiency in handling commercial collections and resolving payment discrepancies
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to analyze aging reports and prioritize collection activities
Strong communication skills to interact with customers and internal teams effectively
Familiarity with financial recordkeeping and reconciliation processes
