Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our client in Groveport, Ohio. In this contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in managing and maintaining the company’s accounts receivable processes to ensure accurate and timely cash flow. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills and a deep understanding of AR functions in a business-to-business environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Generate, review, and distribute accurate invoices to customers promptly
  • Monitor client accounts to identify overdue balances and communicate with customers to collect outstanding payments
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate financial records
  • Process and apply payments received via wire transfers, checks, credit cards, and other methods
  • Keep detailed records of collection activities and communications with customers
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as sales, customer service, and operations to address account-related issues
  • Review and assess customer credit limits, assisting in credit evaluations when necessary
  • Prepare and analyze aging reports, providing updates on accounts receivable status to management
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable accounting standards

Requirements:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounts receivable, particularly in a B2B environment
  • Solid knowledge of AR processes, including collections and cash application
  • Proficiency in accounting software systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or similar platforms
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact effectively with clients
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve processes
