We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Franklin, Tennessee. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing customer accounts, ensuring accurate billing, and maintaining smooth cash application processes. This position requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail to support financial operations effectively.
Job Responsibility:
Generate and review customer invoices with precision and timeliness
Process and apply customer payments received through various channels, including wire transfers, checks, and lockboxes
Monitor outstanding balances and proactively follow up on overdue accounts
Address billing issues, discrepancies, and disputes by engaging with customers and internal teams
Maintain accurate customer account records, including payment terms and credit limits
Partner with sales, customer service, and logistics teams to resolve invoicing challenges
Contribute to month-end close activities, including reconciliations and generating accounts receivable reports
Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and insights
Identify and recommend improvements to enhance accounts receivable workflows
Requirements:
Proven experience in accounts receivable functions, including billing and collections
Proficiency in managing cash applications and commercial collections
Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address financial discrepancies
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for customer interactions
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial processes
Ability to collaborate effectively across departments to resolve issues
Knowledge of AR best practices and process optimization strategies
