We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support a high-volume finance operation in Los Angeles, California. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and confident managing receivables, billing activity, and customer payment processing. The person in this role will help maintain accurate financial records, follow up on outstanding balances, and contribute to steady cash flow through timely and detail-oriented account support.
Job Responsibility
Process incoming payments accurately and apply cash receipts to the appropriate customer accounts in a timely manner
Monitor open invoices, research payment discrepancies, and resolve account issues to keep receivables current
Conduct commercial collections outreach with care, documenting follow-up activity and escalating concerns when needed
Prepare and distribute billing documents while verifying charges, payment terms, and supporting details for accuracy
Reconcile daily cash activity and account transactions to ensure financial records remain complete and aligned
Collaborate with internal teams and customers to address questions related to invoices, unapplied cash, and account balances
Maintain organized receivables records and produce status updates on aging accounts, payment trends, and collection efforts
Requirements
Experience supporting accounts receivable functions in a business or corporate finance environment
Working knowledge of cash application processes, account reconciliation, and daily payment posting
Background in commercial collections with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally regarding past-due balances
Familiarity with billing operations and reviewing invoice details for completeness and accuracy
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines consistently
Proficiency with standard accounting systems and spreadsheet tools used for tracking receivables activity
Ability to analyze account information, investigate discrepancies, and recommend practical resolutions
