Job Responsibility

  • Prepare accrual entries and reconcile accounts receivable sub-ledger balances with the general ledger to support accurate financial reporting
  • Post journal entries and complete month-end and year-end account reconciliations in a timely manner
  • Generate and review aging reports to monitor outstanding balances and highlight priority accounts
  • Apply incoming cash receipts, maintain account reconciliations, and address chargeback activity with accuracy
  • Conduct collection outreach for an assigned portfolio of commercial accounts and follow up on overdue invoices
  • Record daily collection efforts and maintain clear documentation of account activity and customer communications
  • Investigate disputed balances and billing variances to determine root causes and support resolution
  • Reconcile customer payments and account activity while identifying delinquent accounts that may require outside collection support
  • Evaluate accounts for potential bad debt risk or financial exposure and escalate concerns as needed
  • Provide guidance and training to team members involved in accounts receivable, billing, and collections processes

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in accounts receivable, including account reconciliation and cash application activities
  • Working knowledge of commercial collections practices and the ability to manage follow-up on past-due balances
  • Experience supporting billing functions and resolving invoice or payment discrepancies
  • Ability to prepare and analyze aging reports, reconciliations, and related financial documentation
  • Familiarity with general ledger postings and month-end or year-end close support
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to document account activity accurately and consistently
  • Proficiency in reviewing cash activity and identifying issues that could affect account status or collections
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for working with customers and internal stakeholders
