Job Description:

Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Full-Time Professionals practice group. Our Full-Time Professionals are the Accounting and Finance Loan Staff for Robert Half of central Ohio. These professionals tackle challenging, long term and highly visible client directed projects in the Columbus market. The skills and exposure successful candidates receive significantly advance their career. Previous success in fast paced and dynamic environments with a get it done mindset are a must for this position. The Accounts Payable Specialist will have extensive knowledge of the Full Receivables Cycle.

Job Responsibility:

Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions
Posts revenues by verifying and entering transactions form lock box and local deposits
Updates receivables by totaling unpaid invoices
Maintains records by copying invoices, debits, and credits
Verifies validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, trade promotions, customer service departments, and from customers
Resolves valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries
Resolves invalid or unauthorized deductions by following pending deductions procedures
Resolves collections by examining payment plans, payment history, credit line
collection calls
Summarizes receivables by maintaining invoice accounts
coordinating monthly transfer to accounts receivable account
verifying totals
preparing report

Requirements:

1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills: Pivot Tables, Lookups
ERP system knowledge: Dynamics, Oracle, SAP
