Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in West Chester, Ohio. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing project billing, ensuring compliance, and supporting operational teams to achieve smooth financial processes. This is a Contract to permanent position within the construction industry, offering an excellent opportunity for growth.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage customer and project manager experiences by providing exceptional support and fostering positive relationships
  • Prepare and process monthly progress billings accurately and on schedule
  • Collaborate with project teams to align customer expectations and ensure smooth operations
  • Monitor compliance requirements to facilitate efficient payment cycles and address any issues promptly
  • Maintain updated receivables status in company systems to improve visibility in billing and collection processes
  • Research and file notices to establish lien rights and track expiration dates, ensuring compliance with state-specific lien laws
  • Collect lien waivers from suppliers while supporting accounts receivable, accounts payable, and operations teams with compliance-related tasks
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and suggest actionable changes to enhance efficiency
  • Provide comprehensive support to the operations team while ensuring an outstanding customer experience

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts receivable or a related role
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with progress billing processes
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills for effectively engaging with customers, project managers, and team members
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems independently and make quick, informed decisions
  • Knowledge of accounting systems, internet applications, and Office tools
  • Capability to interpret complex instructions and escalate issues when necessary
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and exceeding customer expectations
