Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in The Woodlands, Texas. In this contract role, you will play a key part in managing invoicing, customer onboarding, and maintaining accurate financial records. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment while ensuring the smooth operation of accounts receivable processes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and send over 100 invoices through designated platforms, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
  • Facilitate the onboarding of new customers and implement specific billing procedures
  • Manage B2B transmissions using NexGen, while monitoring submissions, resolving rejections, and tracking statements
  • Address customer billing inquiries and assist with minimal collections as needed
  • Record billable labor, verify sales order codes, and ensure tax compliance
  • Coordinate with district offices to ensure service invoices are processed efficiently
  • Investigate and resolve account discrepancies, ensuring accounts are reconciled accurately
  • Support month-end reporting processes and contribute to various accounting projects

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in accounts receivable functions, including invoicing and collections
  • Proficiency in cash applications and commercial collections
  • Strong understanding of billing processes and financial record management
  • Familiarity with platforms such as OpenInvoice and NexGen
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to resolve account disputes effectively
  • Solid organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills for handling customer inquiries and collaborating with teams
  • Ability to adapt to new processes and contribute to ad hoc accounting tasks as needed
