We are looking for an Accounts Receivable specialist to support billing and payment activities for a construction-focused organization in Springdale, Arkansas. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can keep customer accounts current, apply incoming payments accurately, and maintain organized financial records. The role requires close attention to detail, sound judgment when reviewing account balances, and the ability to help keep receivables processes running smoothly.
Job Responsibility
Generate and distribute customer invoices in a timely manner while verifying accuracy and completeness before release
Record and post incoming payments to the appropriate customer accounts, ensuring cash applications are matched correctly
Review outstanding balances regularly and prepare aging information to help track overdue accounts and support collection follow-up
Investigate billing questions, resolve payment discrepancies, and coordinate with internal teams to correct account issues
Maintain up-to-date accounts receivable records, supporting accurate reporting and dependable account history
Monitor account activity to identify delinquent balances and assist with collection efforts in a thorough and organized manner
Reconcile receivable transactions and help ensure account balances align with supporting documentation
Contribute to routine financial reporting by organizing receivables data and highlighting issues that may affect cash flow
Requirements
Hands-on experience working in accounts receivable, including invoice processing and payment posting
Working knowledge of aging reports and the ability to review past-due balances accurately
Experience handling billing functions with strong attention to detail and data accuracy
Familiarity with cash application procedures and matching payments to customer accounts
Ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve account issues efficiently
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Proficiency with standard accounting systems and spreadsheet tools used for receivables tracking
