Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. This Contract to permanent position offers the opportunity to contribute to key financial processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing accounts receivable operations, ensuring accuracy in invoicing, reconciliations, and collections.

Job Responsibility

  • Process daily invoices and ensure accurate posting and balancing within accounts receivable systems
  • Investigate discrepancies in invoicing or payments, collaborating with managers and staff to resolve issues efficiently
  • Monitor and identify delinquent accounts, drafting correspondence and contacting customers to facilitate payments
  • Generate reports on account statuses and maintain organized records for timely access and review
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of accounts receivable to ensure alignment with financial records
  • Handle filing, copying, and retrieval of documents related to accounts receivable processes
  • Utilize accounting software systems to manage daily cash receipts and aged receivables
  • Prepare aging reports and analyze customer invoices to track payment timelines
  • Support additional tasks as needed to maintain smooth operations within the accounts department

Requirements

  • Proficiency in accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, reconciliations, and collections
  • Experience with accounting software systems
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including familiarity with formulas and VLOOKUP
  • Strong knowledge of billing and cash handling processes
  • Demonstrated expertise in B2B collections and managing aging accounts
