We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support trust and client account activity in New York. This long-term contract opportunity is ideal for someone who can manage receivables with precision, maintain accurate financial records, and uphold compliance standards in a fast-paced environment. The role will focus on payment processing, account reconciliation, collections follow-up, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate cash activity.
Job Responsibility:
Process incoming payments, deposits, and account transfers for client trust and operating accounts while maintaining a high level of accuracy
Manage day-to-day accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, payment application, and monitoring outstanding balances
Review trust and client account transactions, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure activity aligns with internal controls and compliance requirements
Investigate payment issues and resolve account variances by working closely with clients and internal business partners
Maintain organized financial documentation and supporting records to meet audit, reporting, and regulatory standards
Assist with month-end close tasks by preparing reconciliations, validating account activity, and supporting audit readiness
Partner with finance, billing, and operations teams to strengthen bookkeeping accuracy and improve reporting consistency
Requirements:
Experience in accounts receivable, including billing, cash applications, collections, and daily cash activity processing
Working knowledge of trust accounting or client fund management in a legal, financial, or business services setting
Proficiency with accounting, billing, or enterprise finance systems used for receivables and reconciliation work
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external stakeholders
