Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in El Monte, California. This is a Contract to permanent opportunity ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, a solid background in accounting, and bilingual proficiency in Japanese or another Asian language. The role requires expertise in full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage full-cycle accounting tasks, including accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
  • Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
  • Process invoices and conduct bank reconciliations to maintain financial records
  • Assist with tax preparation by organizing necessary documentation for filings
  • Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations to management
  • Support budget development by collaborating with the management team
  • Conduct internal audits and suggest improvements to financial procedures
  • Ensure compliance with state revenue regulations and accounting standards
  • Stay updated on current accounting practices and principles to enhance efficiency

Requirements

  • Bilingual proficiency in Japanese or another Asian language is required
  • Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience for bilingual Japanese candidates or 2-3 years for candidates fluent in other Asian languages
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems
  • Experience in full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end closings
  • Ability to prepare accurate financial statements and detailed reports
  • Knowledge of tax preparation processes and compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as Great Plains or similar platforms
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in financial data management
