Job Description

Bessemer Management is a transportation company that provides comprehensive back-office support, management, and logistics services for several logistics/trucking companies. We have 90+ years of experience operating in multi-faceted transportation modes and are a growing organization. TRX, Inc., one of the most experienced intermodal trucking companies in the United States, has an opportunity for a highly motivated, career-minded individual to join our team as an Accounts Receivable Specialist/Collector. This position is full-time, on-site in our Valley View, Ohio office. In this role, you will be part of a team playing a key role in keeping our company's accounts receivable processes running smoothly through proactive account oversight and collection efforts. You will also help to manage and strengthen the established relationships our company has with our customers.

Job Responsibility

  • Learning the 'ins and outs' of customer accounts – billing methods, terms, etc.
  • Collecting on delinquent customer accounts – via phone and email
  • Resolving billing discrepancies and disputes
  • Running aging reports and sending them to customers
  • Updating our internal systems with collection notes
  • Troubleshooting issues and incoming questions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred, not required), high school diploma, or GED
  • Accounts receivable/collection experience
  • At least 1-2 years of experience working in a professional office setting
  • Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment where you will interact with a variety of people, including customers, terminals, co-workers, and internal departments
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to recognize and appropriately respond to tone in phone and email correspondence
  • Customer service-oriented
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, and Outlook
