Job Responsibility:
Prioritize and execute collection efforts based on aging accounts, customer risk levels, and invoice amounts
Investigate and resolve customer disputes, escalating complex cases to the Accounts Receivable Manager when necessary
Maintain detailed and accurate records of all collection activities and communications with customers
Collaborate with billing and cash application teams to ensure account information is accurate and up to date
Partner with the Operations team to address and resolve customer payment concerns efficiently
Recommend appropriate actions for overdue accounts, including escalation, suspension, write-offs, or third-party collections
Consistently meet or exceed monthly collection goals while contributing to the reduction of outstanding receivables
Utilize accounts receivable tools and platforms, such as Versapay and lockbox systems, to optimize outreach and tracking processes
Requirements:
1-4 years of experience in collections or accounts receivable, ideally in high-volume environments
Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to professionally handle customer interactions
Familiarity with accounts receivable systems or some ERP exposure
Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
Proficiency in Excel for data management and reporting purposes
High level of professionalism and efficiency in managing daily responsibilities
