We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Coordinator to join our team in Greenville, South Carolina. This long-term contract position offers a hybrid schedule with a mix of remote and in-office work, providing flexibility while maintaining collaboration. The ideal candidate will play a key role in cash application processes, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of financial transactions and supporting both internal and external stakeholders.
Job Responsibility:
Process and manage daily cash receipts, including checks and remittances, ensuring proper coding and allocation to the appropriate accounts and cost centers
Collaborate with third-party providers and internal teams to support operations, resolve inquiries, and maintain smooth workflows
Assist with cash application processes for acquired companies, including documentation and training for external service providers
Maintain detailed daily logs of processed checks and remittance activities to ensure accurate record-keeping
Serve as a liaison between internal departments and external customers to address and resolve financial discrepancies
Utilize check scanning equipment and banking lockbox systems to streamline cash handling processes
Contribute to special projects as assigned, ensuring timely and efficient completion
Support the development and improvement of end-to-end cash application processes across the organization
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent is required
additional education in accounting or finance is a plus
Strong understanding of cash application processes and familiarity with accounts receivable systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with a focus on Excel and Word
Experience with check scanning equipment and banking lockbox processes is preferred
Ability to work independently while managing a high volume of tasks with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate across departments
Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and build positive relationships across all levels of the organization
