Accounts Receivable Coordinator

• Investigate unapplied cash balances caused by duplicate or overpayments, ensuring accurate allocation of funds
• Communicate with collectors, attorneys, insurance companies, and clients to reconcile payment details and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare and submit check request forms for approval and processing
• Prioritize high-value unapplied cash balances using weekly reports for efficient resolution
• Verify and process requests for write-offs and deductions, ensuring compliance with company policies
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to payment remittance advice and client communication
• Post check payments and assist in identifying electronic or credit card transactions as needed
• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain accurate records and streamline cash application processes
• Utilize Excel and legal ERP systems to track and reconcile payments effectively

• Minimum of one year of relevant experience
• accounting experience is not required
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to navigate interactions with assertive personalities such as attorneys and insurance representatives
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to reconcile payments across multiple parties
• Basic proficiency in Excel and willingness to learn industry-specific ERP systems
• Solid research and problem-solving skills to address unapplied cash and payment discrepancies
• Ability to manage administrative tasks efficiently in a hybrid work environment
• Familiarity with basic accounting principles is preferred but not mandatory
• Comfortable working collaboratively with team members and external stakeholders
