Job Description:

We are looking for a PART TIME Accounts Receivable Clerk to support daily receivables activity for a Long-term Contract opportunity in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. This fully onsite, first-shift role offers a flexible 10-hour-per-week schedule and is ideal for someone who can step in quickly to help reduce a backlog of accounting work. The position focuses on maintaining accurate cash flow records, processing incoming payments, and supporting consistent billing and collection efforts.

Job Responsibility:

  • Record incoming payments and apply cash accurately to customer accounts in a timely manner
  • Prepare bank deposits, process received checks, and ensure all receipts are documented correctly
  • Review outstanding balances and follow up with commercial customers to support collection efforts
  • Generate invoices and assist with routine billing activities to keep accounts current
  • Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and investigate discrepancies or unapplied payments
  • Maintain organized financial records and provide updates on aging accounts and payment status
  • Assist the team with clearing delayed workload related to recent organizational changes
  • Collaborate with internal staff onsite to support smooth day-to-day receivables operations

Requirements:

  • Experience working in accounts receivable with responsibility for payment posting and account maintenance
  • Background in commercial collections and customer follow-up regarding past-due balances
  • Hands-on ability to manage cash applications with strong accuracy and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with billing processes, invoicing, and receivables reconciliation
  • Comfortable handling check deposits and maintaining supporting payment documentation
  • Ability to work onsite in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania during first-shift hours
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage part-time hours effectively in a backlog-driven environment
