Robert Half has an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk with previous experience in the Education field. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing student invoicing, processing payments, and ensuring accurate and timely collections. Job Responsibility:
Manage student invoicing
Process payments
Ensure accurate and timely collections
Enter, post, and reconcile batches
Research and resolve customer A/R issues
Prepare aging report
Place billing and collection calls
Maintain cash receipts journal
Update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L
Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures
Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in various ledgers
Input timesheet data
Verify documents and codes
Process payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports
Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
Provide information as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders
Contact existing clients to help resolve payment issues
Assist in setting up payment plans
Requirements:
Previous experience in accounts receivable at an education institution required
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of basic accounting principles
Associate's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
Nice to have:
Previous experience in the Construction industry a plus
