Accounts Receivable Clerk

• Process and manage receivables, ensuring timely and accurate posting of payments
• Conduct commercial collections activities to recover outstanding balances from clients
• Apply cash receipts to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies as needed
• Prepare and distribute invoices to clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts to maintain healthy cash flow
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing or payment issues efficiently
• Maintain detailed records of all transactions and collection activities for audit purposes
• Assist in preparing financial reports related to accounts receivable status and performance
• Support month-end closing processes by reconciling accounts and addressing discrepancies

• Proven experience in accounts receivable, billing, and collections, preferably in a commercial setting
• Strong understanding of cash applications and cash collections processes
• Proficiency in financial software and tools, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with clients and internal teams
• Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies in financial records
• High school diploma or equivalent
• additional education in finance or accounting is preferred

Familiarity with construction industry billing practices is a plus
