We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join a leading entertainment organization in Los Angeles, California on a Long-term Contract basis. This opportunity is well suited for someone who is detail oriented and enjoys working with financial information, maintaining accurate records, and supporting revenue collection activities. The role offers hands-on exposure to accounts receivable processes in a part-time environment, with a strong focus on precision, organization, and dependable follow-through.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain and update accounts receivable and royalty-related records across spreadsheets and internal platforms to ensure information remains current and accurate
Use Microsoft Excel to organize payment activity, compare account details, and support reconciliation of financial data
Examine incoming financial information for errors, missing details, or inconsistencies and make corrections where appropriate
Assist with tracking outstanding balances, monitoring payment status, and supporting follow-up efforts on overdue accounts
Prepare recurring reports and account summaries for finance and accounting stakeholders
Support billing, cash application, and collection-related tasks as part of day-to-day receivables operations
Provide general administrative assistance and data support for the broader accounting function as needed
Requirements:
Experience or foundational knowledge in accounts receivable, billing, collections, cash applications, or related finance support work
Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to manage, sort, and review large volumes of data accurately
High level of attention to detail and a consistent approach to maintaining data integrity
Comfort working with numbers, calculations, and financial records in a fast-paced setting
Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a part-time role
Clear written and verbal communication skills for coordination with internal teams regarding account status and reporting
Bachelor’s degree or relevant coursework in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline is preferred
Prior office, internship, data entry, or entry-level accounting experience is helpful but not required
