We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana on a part-time. In this contract role, you will play a key part in managing billing functions, payment processing, and collections. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a structured office environment with parking provided on a part-time basis.
Job Responsibility:
Process and manage accounts receivable transactions, including payment posting and cash applications
Handle collections and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding accounts
Utilize third-party billing portals for accurate and efficient processing
Manage AIA billing functions
Collaborate with team members to maintain accurate financial records and resolve discrepancies
Assist with the transition to a new billing software system as needed
Monitor and analyze accounts to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Utilize Microsoft Excel to prepare reports and manage data efficiently
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing billing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
Requirements:
Proven experience in accounts receivable, cash applications, and collections
Strong knowledge of AIA billing processes and third-party billing portals
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams effectively
Nice to have:
Experience with Sage software
