Accounts Receivable Clerk

• Manage daily accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing for fruit, plants, and packaging
• Post daily bank transactions and ensure accuracy in financial records
• Investigate and initiate claims for payment discrepancies using Salesforce
• Collaborate with the team to support month-end closing activities by reconciling balances and analyzing relevant data
• Participate in improvement initiatives, such as Oracle system implementation, to enhance operational efficiency
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal departments to facilitate smooth financial operations
• Implement company policies and procedures to reconcile and collect overdue invoices, minimizing account receivable discrepancies
• Communicate with third-party customers to obtain and exchange documentation necessary for collections
• Identify the root causes of delinquencies, address issues, and escalate problems when needed
• Prepare journal entries for invoice adjustments and provide documentation support during audits

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in collections
• accounting or credit experience is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required
• Basic knowledge of accounting software such as Oracle is advantageous
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is helpful
• Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Spanish language proficiency is preferred but not required
