Our client is a NSW government organisation based in Parramatta NSW. They are currently seeking an Accounts Receivable and General Ledger Processing Officer to come in and join their team based in Parramatta NSW. In this role you will provide efficient and timely service delivery in all accounts data entry and accounts reconciliations functions and maintains the integrity of organisational financial data along with being the first point of contact for all internal and external customer inquiries.
Job Responsibility
Data Processing: Enter invoices, adjustment notes, receipts, and journals accurately in compliance with legislation and relevant policies
Debtor Verification: Verify that all debtor information is correct and complete to ensure efficient debt recovery processes
Reconciliation & Banking: Reconcile accounts data and daily banking activities timely to ensure accurate financial reporting
Cash Advances: Process cash advance requests efficiently and within established timeframes
Customer Support: Resolve routine email and phone inquiries promptly, escalating complex issues when necessary
Admin & Records Management: Maintain official databases and provide administrative support to assist the accounting team
Requirements
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or similar
Experience in Accounts Receivable and General ledger processing
Previous government experience
