Robert Half is seeking a skilled and analytical Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our Full-Time Engagement Professionals team. This role is designed for accounting professionals who enjoy variety, solving complex problems, and supporting organizations during critical initiatives. As a full-time employee of Robert Half, you will work on-site with our clients on a range of accounting projects and interim assignments while benefiting from the stability of full-time employment.
Job Responsibility:
Manage full-cycle accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, cash applications, and collections strategy
Perform complex account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Analyze aging reports and identify trends or risk areas
Support month-end and quarter-end close related to AR and revenue
Partner with accounting and operations teams to improve billing and collection processes
Assist with system implementations, process improvements, or clean-up projects
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
Support audit requests and documentation related to revenue and receivables
Prepare reports and provide insights to leadership on AR performance
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred, not required
3+ years of progressive experience in accounts receivable or general accounting
Strong understanding of billing processes, revenue recognition support, and reconciliations
Experience working in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and systems
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Experience in project-based or multi-entity environments is a plus
Nice to have:
Manufacturing, healthcare, energy, or corporate accounting environments
Process improvement or system implementation involvement
Leading AR clean-up projects or improving collections performance
