Our client is a VIC government organisation based in Doncaster VIC. They are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Team Leader to come in and join their team on a temp contract opportunity until 29th October 2026 with possible extensions.
Job Responsibility:
Financial Operations: Lead end-to-end AP and AR processing, including master file maintenance and sub-system reconciliations
Process & Systems: Drive efficiency by leading system upgrades, testing integrations, and implementing automated process improvements
Compliance & Policy: Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedural manuals to ensure audit readiness
Stakeholder Advisory: Provide expert advice to management and resolve complex internal/external queries with high-quality customer service
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, focusing on cross-skilling, performance coaching, and professional development
Unit Support: Execute year-end financial activities and support the CFO in delivering broader Financial Services Unit programs
Requirements:
Extensive leadership experience in a high-volume accounts payable function in a complex medium to large organisation
Experience and/or knowledge of the accounts receivable function
Qualifications in Accounting, Finance or similar
