We are looking for a highly organized Accounts Payable Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable department in Kansas City, Missouri. In this role, you will lead a team of AP Specialists while ensuring accurate invoice processing, compliance with internal controls, and timely payments. Job Responsibility:
Supervise and guide the accounts payable team to ensure efficient and accurate processing of invoices and payments
Manage the full cycle of accounts payable operations, including coding invoices, check runs, and ACH payments
Monitor vendor accounts to resolve discrepancies and maintain positive relationships
Review and approve payments while ensuring alignment with established policies and procedures
Oversee month-end reconciliation processes and support audit activities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address payment-related issues and implement solutions
Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounts payable function
Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of accountability and growth
Requirements:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounts payable experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
Experience with Oracle Fusion or similar ERP systems is desirable
Proficiency in accounts payable processes, including coding invoices, check runs, and ACH payments
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team effectively
Exceptional analytical and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to ensure compliance with internal controls and financial regulations
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and external vendors
